‘Young Financials EU Talent Pool’ is an initiative in which recently graduated or young with a few years work experience candidates, with economic and managerial backgrounds from Eastern Europe are deployed for professional work activities in Financial Institutions in the Netherlands. Primarily the job will involve operational tasks in Finance, Operations & Control and Fund Administration.
This initiative has been set up by the following Dutch companies as a response to the current market needs:

The ‘Young Financials EU Talent Pool’ is based upon a close partnership between Young Financials, NedPol Business Link and other dedicated business partners.
Currently, we have an opportunity for a candidate with several years (two to three years) experience in accounting within a financial institution. Candidates must have a pronounced ambition for a long term career within a financial institution located in The Hague.
For one of our clients in The Netherlands (The Hague) we’re looking for an Accounting Officer. Their finance department is responsible for the financial reporting and provides management information and reports. Within the Finance department, the Accounting team is responsible for the financial accounting, the general ledger, and parts of the Treasury Accounting and procedures documentation. Further, the team liaises with the external auditor.
Education
The candidate holds a bachelor's or master's degree. He or she has knowledge of relevant standards ( IFRS) or has strong affinity with (international) accounting legislation.
Experience
The ideal candidate has 2-3 years work experience in financial accounting within the financial services branch. He or she has preferably experience with CODA (general ledger, acrewls) and has affinity with ICT.
Personality
The candidate is reliable, analytical, proactive, result oriented, has overview, is able to implement structural solutions and ensures quality.
He or she is a very good communicator in English.
The selection criteria strongly focus on such personal skills as interests, positive attitude and drive. We are looking for candidates with a high level of social skills and quick adaptability to their new living and working environment. Candidates will also be selected based on their good command of English.
All selected candidates will pass through the screening procedure of their future employer, prior to employment in the Netherlands.
A fixed one year agreement (1-year contract based on the Dutch Law) will be signed between Young Financials B.V. and the selected candidate. However, the candidate will work at our client’s organization and will report directly to the Head of the department they’re involved in. This period of 1 year is explicitly intended as a ‘trial period’.
After a successful ‘trial period’, the candidates will have the opportunity to extend their employment for a longer period of time. If so, they’ll sign a new contract directly with our client.
The costs of living, such as food and clothing must be covered by the candidates themselves.
